This is how we get our exercise around here.

What we've been up to
I don't have any photos to prove it, but we've been busy.
Over Father's Day weekend we spent a soggy night camping at a family reunion near Boise, Idaho.
July 2nd we drove up to Logan for a wedding reception for Kimball's cousin, Ginger.
July 4th we celebrated with Kimball's brother in South Jordan, making smores, having a yummy barbecue and playing with all their toys. I was surprised how much the kids liked fireworks this year!
Yesterday we drove around Nebo loop and enjoyed all the scenery that's a little closer to home than our other vacations.
I'm surprised how well the kids have done in the car on all our little trips this year. Leapsters, movies, coloring books, and toys help, too! We've also enjoyed having Kimball's youngest brother, Gregory come up for the weekends the past couple weeks. He is so much fun to have around. The kids love that he gets to have a sleepover at our house! And I love that he helps us with chores. We are getting so much done this summer!
Will and Ella are doing Music camps right now that involve painting, playing with instruments, learning songs, etc. Swimming lessons are over for this summer, but I love that the kids can show off their new skills anytime we go to the pool. They also enjoy the library reading series and the crafts they get to make when they get home. Will has also enjoyed a singing class, golfing class, and sculpting class this summer. The kids love spending time with their friends in the neighborhood, too. So much for the lazy days of summer! One month down, one and a half to go! =)
Alex's new words:
"Bite" when he wants something I'm eating
"let go" when he doesn't want to hold your hand
"I bonk" when he gets hurt
"bubble" pretty obvious right?
"Memo" for Elmo
"Y" for a baby wipe, he is very tidy
"fwie" for fries, I know, I'm in trouble
"Chockit" for chocolate, I'm really in trouble
"Chicken" for well, chicken
"Caw" for car
"Lie" for help turning on the light
"Hi" and "Bye, bye"
He loves doing things all by himself, and likes bugging his older sister, too. He still grunts "choo-choo train" because it's just as effective as speaking. He is very good at folding his arms and saying prayers and enjoys adding a big "A-men!" at the end. He can sing the tunes and some of the words to "Twinkle, twinkle little start" and "I am a child of God," and often requests them right before bedtime or during boring diaper changes. He is also a great helper, throwing things in the trash, getting his shoes out of the closet and replacing the shoes that got thrown out. He also enjoys saying names in varying cadences. He'll sing "Moooommyyyyy." Then, he'll growl, "Mahhh meee" then he'll repeat it fast in a high voice and then shout it out. Very creative, this one....
He had to have his little doggie in his high chair with him. He was so excited when I let him that he gave me this big, huge grin. Little friends make us so happy!

She's at it Again!
Alex actually got mad at me when I took this skirt off a little bit later. I think he felt special when his big sister was spending time with him, only, I'm not so sure about the outfit choice...

That's a little better. Dress-up is so much fun. Playing with swords is even better!
