Our ward has asked patiently for four months for a family photo. This was the best we could do!

Happy Easter!
I got to go out of town with my sisters-in-law to San Diego on March 20th. Then, got home and it was Parent Teacher Conference week, with a book fair, finished off with Keala's baptism, Ian's birthday, a cousin play, and getting to speak in Sacrament on Easter Sunday. I am sorry to admit that I almost forgot about Easter morning! Thank goodness the Easter bunny remembered and set everything up just in time. He even put little marshmellow bunnies inside of those cute little Easter boxes. So clever!
It was a great day. And I won't even mention the week long cold I got following...

Happy Birthday Ian!
Ian had a fun birthday. He was great at opening everything himself!
He loves Chuck and Friends and got some fun bubbles, coloring book, and magnetic doodle board.
After every present, Ian had to run and throw the wrapping paper in the trash. It was so funny.
Gotta keep things organized!
As soon as Kimball got close with the cake, Ian blew out the candles.
He kept blowing on them, so we had to explain that he had to wait, but he got it on the third try. =)
Cake time!
I like Ian's style. There's more room inside that mouth than one would think...

Alex made all these great March crafts. Even Abe Lincoln's cabin!
It's been fun to see his creativity flourish!

Pinewood Derby
Will made for an exciting Pinewood Derby this year. He was the last car to race and came in first. Then, in the other heats, a screw came loose underneath and he ended up coming in fifth overall. Pretty good out of 19, though! It was a really exciting night!

Will's Violin Recital
On March 3, Will had his violin recital. He did an awesome job. He had a few trills and really tricky parts in his song. He knew it so well and did a great job. I'm so proud of how much he practices and how good he is getting at the violin.

Spirit Week
The last week of February was Spirit Week at school. The kids had crazy hair day, silly sock day, cool colors day, hat day, and Read Across America day. We decorated each grade's door with a different color and the kids wore that color on Wednesday. The kids were quite spirited, so they needed a few extra hands during lunch.
On Thursday, we also had an assembly to talk about our Character Program. Kimball and I worked on this seal for the school. Every month the kids learn about a different Value like Respect, Responsibility, etc. Then, the class or school has activities to help them demonstrate that value. The assembly talked about people who have character and we introduced a program where kids get chosen as "special agents" who look for other kids that are showing character. Then, we have a raffle for all those kids to earn a prize.
My favorite part of the week was having this storyteller come. She did an amazing job. Three cute stories for the younger grades with so much expression, and even singing! Then, two longer tales for the upper grades that really taught the importance of knowledge and the magic of reading. It was excellent!
Like the shirt? We also designed and ordered these awesome shirts and hoodies for the school!
