Faces

I just had to get a picture of that little curl on Ella's face. Last night her curls opened to a more "crimped" look with her hair sticking out on both sides and it swooped down across the side of her forehead. She can look so angelic at times. She loves telling stories and talking in explanation points. She is so excited about her birthday coming up and she is learning so much more about the world around her. She loves learning about letters and numbers and has already figured out that 2 and 1 make three! Although, she also says 2 and 1 make twelve as on the clock. . . . She made this little craft with little beads. It's supposed to be the shape of a heart--not totally complete, but still pretty.

Will made two flowers and a heart, among many other shapes. Today, he was telling Ella about the Dinosaur museum. He said, "There's a dark room that makes scary dinosaur noises that are really loud and scary and ferocious! I don't like it at all." It's funny to hear him using big words like "ferocious" more often.

He is also becoming captivated by Saturday morning infomercials. Last week he nearly convinced me to buy Hip-Hop Abs. It sounded like something fun we could both do. This week he wrote down the 800 number for the Magic Bullet. I explained to him that we already have a blender. He said, "But it doesn't do it in seconds!" Boy, it's good he doesn't know how to use my credit card!

Just now Will showed Kimball his strong muscles and Kimball said, "Whoa, they are almost as strong as iron or steel!" Will asked Kimball if he could feel his bisceps. After a little squeeze Will said, "Huh, kinda squishy."

Easter Best

I love dressing the kids up on Easter Sunday. Here are some pictures they took right before church. So handsome and beautiful!!

Of course, we have to capture a bit of that true spirit, too! Alex can be such a goof-ball! =)

Ella looked so beautiful in her purple Eatser dress. It's nice to see her dressed up so pretty. She is such a sweetheart.

Last but never ever least is Will! He is such a great big-brother. He does a good job of watching out for his little brother and constantly teaching and helping his little sister. He's a busy boy, too, always ready to learn something new and do something fun!

Three little angels. I love sweet moments like this when the world pauses and you get to have a breath of just how precious life is. What a miracle it is to bring children into the world and into your home. I feel pretty lucky that I get to be with them everyday.

Easter Pics

Hooray for Easter!!!

Ella couldn't resist making silly faces. Such a 3 year-old! I think she likes her chocolate candy, though!

Alex was pretty exited when he woke up. I'm sure he thought, "We should have this everyday!"

"Love the chocolate! Thank you Easter Bunny!"

Eating with a Spoon

It's always so amazing when such a young child can eat food by themselves. I just can't believe Alex is already doing it! Time flies when your having fun!

Will's Clean Room

Every now and then the kids really want to impress us with how clean their rooms are. Today, Will took his time organizing his little stuffed friends!

laughs

There have been a lot of laughs around here lately. Maybe it's all this wonderful sunshine! Alex just loves getting tickled and has the best belly laugh. Ella's sweet little face is so precious and sweet and Will has so much maturity in such a cute, little body.

Today I tried distracting the kids from the usual "potty talk" at dinner time and told Will to help Ella with her numbers and letters. He started asking her what sounds the different letters make.
Will: "Ella, what sound does B make?"
Ella: "I know what sounds S and W are."
Will: "What?"
Ella: "sssss and munga"
(contagious giggling ensues)

I'm glad our letters aren't quite that complicated. Ella looked thoroughly confused as we giggled and corrected her. I'm sure she saw something on tv where they were spelling a word and W was probably part of something sounding a bit like "munga." Although what that was I'll probably never know!

Some days . . .

Some days being a mother is harder than others. I have gotten pretty good at being patient most of the time, but then there are days like yesterday when Ella took a toy cup, tossed it in the air and knocked down Alex's baby picture, busting the frame in three pieces. A few hours later, she took her ceramic dish and dropped it into the sink. She was trying to be responsible, putting her dirty dish in the sink, but of course, was completely unaware that it, too, would break into several pieces.

I foolishly thought it was just a fluke, that this last bout with three year old antics was now over, and then today, she came downstairs and said, "Mom, when I goed pee-pee like a kitty cat, it made a mess all over the floor and on my legs. But I cleaned it up." Of course, when I reached the bathroom I was presented with pee all over the floor and toilet. I then explained that we can't sit on the potty like a kitty or a froggie because it makes a huge mess and that that isn't good at all.

I'm afraid to find out what surprises tomorrow will bring!
