First Haircut

So I have this thing with baby's first haircuts. I put it off for as long as possible, cause once it's cut, they stop looking like babies and start looking like kids! All grown up! But this might have been pushing it a bit too far... Ian's hair was really gettin' shaggy. It came down to his shoulders and was pretty darn uneven. Friends and family kindly and overtly told me it was time to cut. But I insisted on waiting 'til he was about a year old!
Look at that handsome devil.
He's so big and grown up now! Nah, he's still my little munchkin. =)

little rascal

Whenever I attempt to do dishes, Ian high-tails it for the dishwasher. I can get maybe 2 dishes in before he's climbed on top. He has gotten bolder lately, shaking the racks back and forth and pulling out silverware and tossing it on the floor. I even caught him like a swashbuckler with a horizontal butterknife clenched between his teeth while his was ravaging for other utensils. Now I wash all the dishes in the sink and pile them together, then throw open the dishwasher door and get as many in at once as possible. It usually takes 2 or 3 tries to get it filled.

St. Patrick's Day

My little leprechaun! This year a couple days before St. Patrick's Day, a leprechaun snuck into Ella's kindergarten classroom and went berserk! He turned over all their chairs, broke pencils in two, threw trash all over the room, and colored with markers on the bathroom mirror! The kids were shocked! They cleaned up the room. For the next few days, he continued to ransack the place. I guess he was convinced someone had stolen his hat! These are some of the school projects for St. Patrick's Day. Will wrote a poem on his leprechaun. Ella's picture was describing what you would do if you found a leprechaun.

new surroundings

On February 21st, we moved into my mom's basement apartment to get our house organized to sell. It's good to know that the kids can still be settled and comfy even in new territory. Aren't they little angels?
