Happy Moments

Mimi running to me at the sound of me picking up her leash to put it away. I guess she really enjoyed the 3 or 4 walks we've taken.

Alex learning the "ee" sound and learning "Mimi" and "Mommy." Catching him getting into something he shouldn't and hearing a very clear "MINE." Hearing him sing the end of Head, shoulders, knees and toes. And asking "yehahyou Ma?" as we're reading a book and saying "dehyare." Watching him learn hair, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, eyebrows, arms, elbows, legs, toes, feet, chin, cheek, neck and forehead (which always invites a smack on the forehead).

Having Will be extra sweet even when he was grounded. Him saying, "If you unground me I can help you take care of Ella and Alex and clean everything up!"

Giving butterfly kisses to Ella and getting some in return.

Taking a day off to read a children's book.

Watching the kids dance to the songs Will's learning to sing. "Summertime" from High School Musical is so catchy.

Watching Ella be a fish in the swimming pool. She jumps and floats and jumps and floats.

Getting sweet baby kisses that are no longer wide open mouths and almost always end in a smooch sound.

Hearing Ella and Will sing the songs from their movies.

Ella getting up every night to give me a sweet hug and kiss goodnight and the way she wraps her arms around me.

Ella's beautifully colored cards wrapped in 10 pieces of tape.

Alex laying on the floor on his tummy coloring like a big kid.

Watching how quickly Alex learns the buttons on the cd player and tv and remote control.

Will reading stories to Alex and Ella and making them giggle and laugh.

Finding Ella asleep in Will's bed one night, both fast asleep.

Ella's request for a snuggle every night before bed.
